Ciaren’s story is a heartbreaking one. Both Ciaren’s parents passed away over a period of three years, leaving him and his brother in the care of an elderly grandmother. In 2012, it came to our attention that Ciaren was struggling to pay his university tuition fees. With no support from his parents, he was in desperate need of help. We wanted to lend this straight-A student a helping hand.
With financial assistance of the Vuya Foundation, Ciaren was able to complete his Sports Science and Recreation degree in 2014. He has demonstrated drive and discipline in his studies and is a role model to his peers.
